Too often I have seen people wasting their precious holiday time fuming over petty things that went wrong with their meticulously planned trip. They end up blowing things out of proportion, giving those innocent errors way too much importance, and end up grumpy and frustrated. Remember those drivers who failed to show up on time? Or those long queues at the petrol pump eating your trip time? Obvious reaction: swear them for a minute or two but no we are not prepared to take these sudden change of plans, hence, we end up sulking on why everything is not going as per the script? Result: UNhappy start to the trip. But what if we are equipped with the list of all the things that can possibly go wrong in our perfectly planned trip. That is exactly why I am here, to give you a detailed list of screw-ups that might happen when you are vacating. So have no more apprehensions and unnecessary fury and be better prepared next time.

Falling sick on a trip wasn’t even the last thing on your bucket list but let’s be practical here; you couldn’t have done anything to avoid it. SOURCE CREDIT: PARKSLEEPFLYTravel Diarrhoea (TD) is the most common one and you can easily avoid it by choosing your food wisely, washing your hands at regular intervals and most importantly not letting your ‘Junk-Foodie Soul’ overpower you.

But believe me, overthinking about it isn’t going to get your plane on the runway. So, be wise and calculate the amount of time wasted and replan all the activities ( now that would help you for sure).

Don’t be so apprehensive already, it will take some time but will come. In case it takes more time than your patience level allows, you can always buy essentials from the local markets that can help you keep going for one day. Also, remember to take continuous follow-ups on how far your luggage has reached.

Double-checking the flight details and allowing extra time to get to the airport are the key. Missing connecting flights can be another annoyance but make sure to find out whose fault was it. Because if it’s airline’s fault then they are obligated to provide you necessary allotment. In such cases, you have to be wise and quit taking hasty decisions.

But amidst all the panic attacks, make sure you lodge a complaint with the local authorities and get a copy of that. Also, call your bank on an urgent basis and get your credit and debit cards blocked. While that is happening, you can call your friends and family to transfer some funds. At last, remember to be optimistic, he WILL get caught.

Well, in this case, I can’t say much but make sure that you read reviews from people who have stayed in that place before you finalize the booking. Also going for a third-party booking is another benefit as you will have someone to fight on your side. Feature Image: SPACEINYOURCASE
